About Us:
ZOA is an international non-governmental organization that supports people who have lost everything due to armed conflict or natural disasters. Together, we can come to their aid in emergencies and remain faithful to communities as they recover – providing new opportunities for them to help themselves again. The work of ZOA is coordinated from the Netherlands, and we are active in multiple countries in Africa, South America, the Middle East Region, and Asia. We work with approximately 900 employees worldwide and with (local) partners.

We support people who suffer because of armed conflict or natural disasters, by helping them to rebuild their homes and their livelihoods and to live peacefully together in stable communities.

Internship Details

1: Fresh Graduate Intern

Locations: Addis Ababa, Mekelle, Bahir Dar and Gambella

Duration: Three months

Hours: Full-time

What You’ll Do:
Depending on your area of interest, & competence, responsibilities may include:

Agriculture: Assist in the development and implementation of agricultural projects, conduct field research, and support beneficiaries with innovative practices.

Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH): Participate in the planning and execution of our WASH projects, conduct community assessments, and promote hygiene education and awareness.

Peace-building: Support peace-building initiatives, engage with community leaders, and assist in conflict resolution activities.

Administration: Provide administrative support, manage documentation, and assist in office operations.

Procurement: Assist in procurement processes, manage vendor relations, and ensure compliance with procurement policies.

Logistics: Support logistics planning, manage inventory, and coordinate transportation of goods.

Finance: Assist in financial operations, record & documentation, and financial reporting.

IT: Support IT infrastructure, assist in troubleshooting technical issues, and help with software and hardware maintenance.

Grant/Business Development: supports grant writing, fundraising, and business development initiatives through research, writing, and administrative tasks, gaining valuable experience and skills in the nonprofit or business sector.
