1: Manager, Product Development
Purpose of the Job:
To develop and implement new product development initiatives and follow- up the life cycle of existing products for possible modification through constantly assessing and analyzing the changing needs of customers, the dynamic business and competition situation in the environment
Generic Functions:
Develop, review and implement policies & procedures, plan /budget of the division
Embody the bank’s good culture, corporate image to the public
Demonstrate the Bank’s code of conduct, ascertain that subordinates abide by same and manage disciplinary concerns
Cultivate working environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and transparency among staffs
Provide services as per the service level agreement , follow- up & monitor subordinates to do the same
Handle other related generic activities as deemed necessary
Specific Functions:
Review the analysis of consumer trends, competitor positions and market conditions
Review new product ideas to determine feasibility and potential market demand
Lead and coordinate studies on new product development and modification of existing products to meet customer expectation
Initiate and participate in workshops and briefings on new and modified products and services in collaboration with other work units
Conduct market and need assessment researches to identify potential areas for the development of new financial products, and revisiting existing products
Handle other related duties as may be required
Skill and educational background
MA/MBA/BA in Business Management, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Finance and Economics or any other related field
Experience: Seven/Nine 7/9 years of experience in relevant fields preferably in banking of which Two/2 years on senior officer position in relevant banking operation.
Place of work: Addis Ababa
