The Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS), established in 1935, is one of Ethiopia’s oldest and most prominent humanitarian organizations. Position 1: Accounts Manager (Re-advertisement)
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise project accounting activities.
- Oversee the recording, analysis, and preparation of financial statements following organizational policies.
- Ensure timely closing and auditing of books of accounts while maintaining proper documentation.
- Verify the accuracy of financial statements, receivables, and payables.
- Supervise the entry of financial transactions and ensure compliance with accounting codes.
- Provide guidance to branch offices on accounting activities and review financial reports.
- Facilitate the preparation and submission of project financial reports in line with donor requirements.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, or Accounting Software.
- 8/10 years of relevant experience, with 4/6 years in managerial roles.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze data for project planning.
- Develop monitoring and evaluation (M&E) plans for the project.
- Create tools for needs assessments, reporting, and data collection.
- Support field officers in preparing timely and comprehensive reports.
- Participate in SWOT analysis and environmental assessments.
- Monitor and adjust project plans to address contingencies.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Economics, Management, Statistics, Development Studies, or related fields.
- 6/8 years of experience in humanitarian or development projects.
- Proficiency in analytical tools (SPSS, Stata) and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).

Position 3: Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Senior Officer (Social Cohesion Project)
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement strategies for mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) interventions.
- Conduct training on psychological first aid, community-based psychosocial support, and mental health promotion.
- Support staff and volunteers in providing MHPSS services.
- Establish community-based intervention strategies and referral pathways.
- Document best practices and compile reports on project outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related field.
- 6/8 years of experience in MHPSS, particularly with returnees, refugees, and conflict-affected communities.
- Training in CBMHPSS, PFA, and project management.
- Proficiency in English and Amharic; additional local languages are an advantage.
