Position: Medical Equipment Service Engineer
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience:
- No prior experience required (fresh graduates are welcome).
Skills:
- Solid technical knowledge of medical equipment and devices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and customer service capabilities.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to a variety of medical devices, such as imaging equipment, patient monitoring systems, and endoscopy instruments.
- Understanding of healthcare facility operations and requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation: Set up medical equipment at healthcare facilities, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Maintenance: Conduct routine preventive maintenance to maximize equipment performance and lifespan, keeping detailed records of maintenance activities.
- Repairs: Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Calibration: Calibrate devices to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Technical Support: Offer technical assistance and user training to healthcare professionals for the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety protocols, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, including work orders, parts used, and equipment condition reports.
- Customer Service: Build strong client relationships by delivering excellent support and assistance.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position.
- Frequent travel to healthcare facilities for on-site servicing.
- May require work outside regular hours, including weekends and evenings, for emergency repairs.
- Physical demands may include lifting and maneuvering heavy equipment.
