Kadisco Paint and Adhesive Industry S.C. (formerly known as Kadisco Chemical Industry PLC) is a privately owned company based in Addis Ababa, located in the Akaki Kality Industrial Zone. Kadisco’s journey began in the late 1960s as a small automotive parts dealership in a busy street of Addis Ababa. From 1960 to 1975, the company served as the exclusive distributor for Sadoline Paints. In 1979, Kadisco was officially registered as the sole manufacturer of adhesives and glue. Over time, the company expanded and diversified into paint manufacturing.
Position 1: Assistant Procurement Manager
Position Summary:
The Assistant Procurement Manager is responsible for ensuring that all goods and services are procured in compliance with Kadisco Paint and Adhesive Industry S.C.’s purchasing policies and local procedures, while focusing on cost savings and identifying opportunities for product improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage materials and vendors.
- Generate purchase order requests for raw materials (RM) and packaging materials (PM) based on stock levels.
- Develop alternative vendors.
- Monitor vendor management in SAP, including vendor code introduction.
- Monitor material management in SAP, including source list and PIR maintenance.
- Prepare and report material forecasts in coordination with the production team.
- Confirm quarterly balances with suppliers and resolve queries with the accounts team.
- Coordinate with suppliers for price quotations.
- Maintain system hygiene concerning open GRNs and material fluctuations.
- Monitor and report on forex allocation, material in transit, and sourcing savings.
- Ensure timely delivery of vendor orders and follow up on delays.
- Coordinate with external interfaces (banks, insurance, shipping) for material imports.
- Work with clearing agencies to clear shipments from the port.
- Verify inward materials for quality and quantity according to R&D standards.
- Maintain ISO documentation related to purchases.
- Ensure proper documentation for imports and transit operations.
Functional Relationships: Finance, Production, Warehouse, Sales, Customs, Vendors.
Reporting to: Operations Manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related fields.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including 3 years as a Senior Procurement Officer or Category Specialist, preferably in manufacturing.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt in a fast-changing environment.
- Knowledge of local laws.
Position 2: Procurement Officer
Position Summary:
The Procurement Officer will manage the procurement of local raw materials (RM) and packaging materials (PM) for the company. This role involves overseeing the entire purchasing process, ensuring that all procurement activities are conducted smoothly and are reported to the management team in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research suppliers and products to develop new vendors for local RM and PM, reducing vendor dependency.
- Monitor daily inventory levels of RM and PM, including materials like marble powders, sand, cartons, and other packaging items.
- Track RM and PM orders, ensuring timely delivery and quality, and record Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) accordingly.
- Create and maintain vendor profiles and generate Purchase Info Records (PIR) and purchase orders for RM and PM.
- Maintain accurate records of purchased products, including delivery details and invoices, in SAP.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage.
- Inspect RM/PM during unloading and report faulty items to suppliers for replacement.
- Work with QA to identify local RM alternatives when imports are not feasible.
- Provide management with proactive updates regarding potential supply chain disruptions.
Functional Relationships: Production, Warehouse, Sales, Customs, ESL, EAL, MOI, Vendors.
Reporting to: Procurement Manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
- 2 years of procurement experience, preferably in a multinational or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in SAP and related software.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking ability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Position 3: Painter
Position Summary:
The Painter is responsible for applying various types of paints and construction chemicals, including solvent-based, water-based, waterproofing, and floor coatings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply various paint types (solvent-based, water-based), waterproofing materials, and construction chemicals.
- Perform site sampling and floor coating applications.
Functional Relationships: Production, Quality Control (QC) teams, Sales.
Reporting to: Assistant Manager – Quality Assurance
Qualifications:
- 3-10 years of painting experience.
- Expertise in cement putty/wall putty, emulsion painting, texture applications, and floor coating.
- No formal educational requirements, but experience is essential.
- Ability to manage workbooks, good color matching skills, and the ability to develop color designs.
- Proficiency in English and Amharic.
Skills:
- Quick learner, organized, and able to communicate effectively.
- Problem-solving skills.
