Position: Cashier Accountant I
Qualifications:
- BA Degree, Diploma, or TVET Level IV in Accounting and Finance.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in roles such as cashier, data clerk, or similar positions.
- Strong knowledge of cashier responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
Reporting Line: Reports directly to the Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Properly handle customer requests and inquiries.
- Prepare checks and settle withholding taxes in compliance with regulations.
- Manage cash transactions at the head office and branch levels.
- Open and close daily cash transactions.
- Maintain accurate records of collections and payments.
- Implement and oversee cash control measures and prepare cash-related reports.
- Provide transaction lists, payable schedules, and audit confirmation letters to internal and external auditors as required.
- Prepare and process monthly income tax and pension (PF) returns, ensuring timely payments.
- Manage petty cash in line with company policies and procedures.
- Reconcile bank statements monthly and ensure all transactions are accounted for.
- Handle ERCA declarations and ensure timely collection and submission of withholding receipts.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
