Since our establishment in 2006 and formal registration in 2016, Reality Construction has become a leading player in Ethiopia’s construction and real estate sector. Our journey began in Sebeta in 2008, culminating in the completion of our first major project in Addis Ababa in 2016.

We are currently seeking qualified professionals to join our growing team.


Position 1: Office Engineer

Job Summary:
The Office Engineer will oversee the evaluation of project performance (financial and physical) against targets, ensuring optimal resource utilization to maximize profitability. The role involves preparing bills of quantity, agreements, adjustments to drawings, schedules, and processing payments for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop bills of quantity and material lists for all project sites.
  • Prepare, review, and approve project agreements.
  • Adjust, rearrange, print, and distribute drawings for project sites.
  • Measure completed works for payment preparation and material documentation.
  • Create master schedules and monthly schedules for projects.
  • Analyze and prepare subcontractor payments and claims biweekly.
  • Approve temporary subcontractor payments.
  • Compile weekly and monthly project reports.
  • Coordinate material requests and communicate with management and procurement teams.
  • Draft letters and minutes for internal and external communication.
  • Design templates and formats to streamline site communications.
  • Monitor timely delivery of materials to sites.
  • Track construction activities to align with project schedules.
  • Submit periodic activity reports to supervisors.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • BSc in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction or real estate industry.

Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and advanced computer applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent mathematical and accounting abilities.
  • Teamwork and resource optimization skills.

Position 2: Project Manager

Job Summary:
The Project Manager will lead project planning, execution, and closure while managing cross-functional teams to meet objectives within defined scope, timelines, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define project goals, deliverables, and schedules with stakeholders.
  • Create and oversee comprehensive project plans.
  • Manage resources and collaborate with vendors to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor progress, report productivity, and address risks or issues.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Promote teamwork and provide guidance to team members.
  • Implement best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • BSc in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in construction or real estate.

Key Skills:

  • Leadership, consulting, and decision-making abilities.
  • Competence in project management tools and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Position 3: Site Engineer

Job Summary:
The Site Engineer will ensure construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily site operations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Supervise activities and ensure adherence to project plans and codes.
  • Provide technical support and resolve on-site issues.
  • Review technical drawings for accuracy.
  • Assist in project documentation and cost management.

Qualifications:

  • BSc in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction or real estate.

Key Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal, consulting, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Position 4: Project General Foreman

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate teams, subcontractors, and laborers to meet project goals.
  • Implement and monitor weekly schedules and budgets.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Resolve on-site issues efficiently to avoid delays.
  • Manage resources to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Diploma in Construction or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience as a General Foreman or similar role in real estate projects.

Key Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of construction methods and materials.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
