Position 1: Principal Officer – Credit Appraisal
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Management, or related fields.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including 1 year in a senior professional or expert-level position.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate credit risk due diligence.
- Monitor and process loan applications.
- Oversee loan appraisal activities to ensure effective operation of the unit.
Location: Addis Ababa
Position 2: Manager, Legal Advisor
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law.
Experience:
- A minimum of 11 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a section head or managerial role.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in formulating strategies, policies, and procedures for the legal department.
- Manage legal advisory services and oversee contracts related to the Bank’s daily operations.
Location: Addis Ababa
Position 3: IFB – Shari’ah Advisor
Requirements:
- Must be a member of the Shari’ah Advisory Board (SAB) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in teaching, research, Fatwa issuance, or related activities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Shari’ah, including Usul al-Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence principles) and Fiqh al-Mu’amalat (Islamic commercial jurisprudence).
- Academic qualifications (minimum diploma) or recognized expertise in religious teachings.
- Understanding of finance/banking in general, and Islamic finance/banking in particular, is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Arabic and/or English is an advantage.
