About the Job
the Multisectoral project Manager is responsible for coordination of Integrated Multi-sector assistance to support vulnerable communities in conflict affected areas in Kiremu Woreda of East Wollega Zone. The Manager is responsible to supervise, support and coach emergency WASH, health, nutrition, livelhood and Shelter and Officers assigned to implement the project in the targeted woredas. She/ He is responsible to coordinate the implementation of physical activities and ensure the project budget is utilized in line with the DIP and the agreement made with the donor and the regional government. She/He expected to prepare quality progress reports, mid-term and terminal reports of the project and share on time to all concerned bodies. She/he will support field team in preparation of design, BOQs, and bid documents, follow up construction of water and sanitation services, including electromechanical system, follow-up contract administration and process payments. The employee is also responsible for timely and quality implementation of Education in Emergency and Shelter/NFI activities. The Manager will also represent the organization in different Cluster meetings.
- Coordinate all emergency WASH, Shelter, livelihood, health, nutrition and protection operations, lead and participate in the assessments, feasibility studies, preparation and review of the design, BOQ and all bid documents, payments for all the project activities executed.
- Coordinate the implementation of project activities; community mobilization, formation of committees in the Woredas and each selected KAs and orientation of the committee, beneficiary selection and ensure the beneficiaries are verified by partners and the community before the distribution of inputs.
- Coordinate the implementation of activities and provide technical and administrative support to district-based Project: Livelihood, Shelter, health, nutrition and WASH Officers in the implementation of planned project activities for Host communities/ IDPs/Returnees. This includes Rehabilitations, New constructions, Sanitation and Hygiene promotions, basic WASH NFI distribution, Shelter construction and distribution of shelter NFIs, detail of education activities.
- Coordinate and collaborate with partners, represent the organization in the Zonal level coordination plat forms and joint humanitarian need assessments, and collaborate internally with all sector staffs for good sectoral integration and collaborations.
- Facilitate project logistics, coach and mentor, coordinate & supervise emergency officers of the project, manage issues, sharing lessons within implanting districts and as well as in the organization.
- Ensure that all interventions adhere to Do No Harm principles and with participation from all relevant stakeholders, including disaster affected children and their families.
- Ensure the program delivery, monitoring and reporting (SitRep, Monthly, 4W, quarterly, annual and donor reports) carried out efficiently, rigorously and within the timeframe in compliance with the established guidelines and procedures.
About You
Qualification and Knowledge for the role:
The job holder needs to have MSc or BSc educational background in
Disaster Risk management or
Environmental Engineering or
health planning and management or
development studies.
Relevant required experience:
4 Year experience for MSc and 6 years for BSc on relevant project/program experience of emergency project managements in an international NGO or similar organization, preferably emergency WASH, Shelter and/or Education in Emergency operations
•Rich experiences and skills in coordinating and managing multi-sector projects in the region
•Experienced in leading a number of teams of multi-sector experts (multi-sector team members or experts)
•Good understanding of education and school-based protection activities
•Coordination skills, report writing
•Rich experience in field operations
•Conversant in teamwork and commitment
•Experienced in organizational representation with the government and other partners (cluster attendance)
•Experienced in field-level needs assessment for further funding opportunities

Shelter and NFI Officer
The position holder will base at Wollega , Kiriumu woreda and responsible to ensure the implementation of Shelter and NFI activities specifically for provision of CASH for rent and shelter repair kits for most vulnerable households in Kiriumu woreda and smoothly works with respective district government and sub partners Gurmuu development.
He/ She will engage and lead the operationalize the projects such provision Shelter repair kits and cash for rent and monitoring of the progress of the construction and ensure HLP issues are resolved timely.
- Ensure appropriate provision cash for rent and Shelter repair kits for most vulnerable groups.
- Good distribution practices are implemented in the response area.
- Participating in quality assurance of monitoring conducted at field level.
- Quality and standard intervention in project area.
- Ensure proper benefices targeting, registration and verification conducted as per the standard and Vulnerability criteria
- Right targeted benefices will access the humanitarian support as per the plan.
- Prepare reports as per set schedules (monthly, quarterly and annually) on grant activities, indicators and achievements to WV
- Timely, error free reports per sated indicators and achievements
- Ensure appropriate coordination with all humanitarian partners as well as with Zonal authorities and local structures
- Proper coordination is created between the regional shelter cluster coordinator and world Vision.
About You
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification
University Degree in Engineering; – (e.g. Civil, hydraulic, Construction Management a related field), or an equivalent Shelter and NFIs in humanitarian experience.
• Excellent English communication skills (oral and written) with ability to express ideas and concepts clearly and persuasively with senior internal and external stakeholders.
KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
Required Professional Experience
Experience in implementation of Shelter and NFI activities
Humanitarian field experience with substantial exposure to aid agencies’
At least three 2 years’ experience in implementing shelter and infrastructure projects in humanitarian context and previous involvement in implementation processes (including development of bill of quantities, analysis of local capacity and local markets, cost estimations and provision of cash for rent etc.)
