The World Forum for Democracy is an annual gathering that brings people from all around the world to talk about Democracy, discuss the challenges being faced, and give solutions. The theme of the 2024 edition of the World Forum for Democracy is “Democracy and diversity: Can we transcend the divides?” Applicants can apply Without IELTS.
The World Forum For Democracy is not just a Platform but a Call for Action. The forum will bring 60 youth participants from around the world. People who are interested in democracy, including policymakers, civil society representatives, academics, journalists, and young people can apply. The World Forum for Democracy will run from 3rd Nov 2024 to 9th Nov 2024. It is a Great Opportunity to explore France as well. Democracy and diversity: Can we transcend the divides
The 2024 World Forum for Democracy is asking how democracies can function smoothly even with all sorts of different people and backgrounds. They’re interested in finding ways to overcome disagreements and build bridges between people in a democracy.
Key Issues to be Discussed in the Forum
- Elections and value divides
- Unraveling the web of disinformation
- Citizen engagement for democratic renewal
The core content of the forum will consist of political talks and discussions about successful initiatives or actions implemented in different countries.
Financial Benefits
- Travel and Visa: Airfare Travel expenses and visa costs will be covered by the Council of Europe.
- Accommodation: Board and lodging are provided and paid for by the Council of Europe during the dates of the activity.
Eligibility Criteria
Profile of a Youth:
- Be aged 18-30 (exceptions can be made in special cases)
- Open to all the nationals.
- Be able to communicate and work in English.
- Be available to participate fully in the World Forum for Democracy and the preparation process.
- Can be from any country from any academic Background.
- Share your experiences on democracy and diversity.
Candidates will be informed around mid-September 2024 if their application has been accepted or rejected, and if they have been put on the waiting list.
