| JOB SUMMARY [The position holder shall be in charge of technical quality implementation and delivery of the mobile health and Nutrition services in the assigned Woreda.S/He will mainly be responsible for the day to day implementation of outreach EPI, health education, screening, OTP, as per the guideline of Oromia RHB and WHO mobile health and Nutrition teams. In addition, the position holder is also expected to provide supervision, technical assistance and capacity building to health extension workers and Health workers in health facilities. She/he will be responsible for the daily implementation of mobile health and Nutrition services package as per the standard, supporting health facilities assigned as integrated mobile health & Nutrition modality and daily dispensary and drug supply management. He will also be responsible for day to day documentation, people provided for health education, vaccinated children, screened children and mothers, children admitted to OTP, and all provided services accordingly and compile weekly]To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function with or without reasonable accommodation. MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES [• Improving basic preventive health care at community level with emphasis health, immunization, health and nutrition services• Strengthening of linkages and coordination mechanisms between community and the Woreda health bureaus• Strengthening of early referrals mechanism.• Plan and implement project outlined in the protocol for OTP and SC to achieve objectives of the project.• The health and nutrition nurse will help facilitate admission of the patient at the OTP, and SC.• Train and support the HEWs on prevention and response of major diseases under surveillance and in severe acute malnutrition case management and follow-up (e.g., referral to SC) according to national guidelines.• Train and support community-based volunteer health workers for the implementation of the community component of the project.• Ensure at all times adequately equipped and supplied with the necessary drugs for provision of treatment under curative services, nutritional and clinical requirements at the catchment health facilities – Plumpy’nut, Vitamin A, routine drugs, nutritional equipment’s, nutritional/medical stationery, etc.• Conduct planning and promotion of awareness creation on nutrition and preventative health care issues in the community.] Perform other duties as assigned. 2.Roving Senior SRH Officer
| MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIESSpecific Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversight and Support for program development.Oversees the implementation and quality of services for three selected refugee camps namely, Terkidi, Ngnuyniel and Kule camps.This officer supervises a team of three SRH community-mobilizer officers, who collectively manage the outreach and facility-based SRH and HIV prevention, support, and treatment.Regularly assess new developments and needs in Gambella during field visits including new gaps and potential areas of SRH interventions.Assist the Gambella field office SRH manager in identifying potential areas for new projects and prepare concept notes and project proposals (in collaboration with the SRH Manager and Addis’s level technical focal points specialist, Health Manager, and Coordinator).Program implementation, logistics and budget managementEnsures that SRH interventions and health care services are appropriately integrated in the refugee camps and surrounding local communities;Ensures that IMC SRH care standards and protocols are met, national health policies and strategies are respected and other relevant project management issues including donor requirements are properly addressed;Provide technical support and guidance during the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of SRH project activities in Gambella refugee camps from the inception to the close-out stages.As a technical person or focal point; mentors, coaches and supports the technical competence and capacity of SRH community mobilization Officers and (or case managers, if any) for PLHIV assigned in each of the refugee camps.Support health facilities in refugee camps, woreda health offices, zonal health departments, and RHBs, to strengthen targeted HIV testing, linkage to ART, access to optimal ART, ARV prophylaxis, adherence counseling, viral load monitoring, data capturing, and reporting.Assists the field office manager in addressing the logistic issues about programmatic supplies for SRH (collaborating with Gambella IMC logistics and finance department, government, and UN agencies).Reviews program budget and ensures there is regular alignment of budget versus expenditures. | MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS· MPH or specialized in RH or BSc in Public Health, Nursing or Midwifery with SRH program experience. · Three years of SRH program management experience for MPH and five years of similar experience for BSc holders preferably in a humanitarian context.· At least two years of NGO experience in SRH programming in the areas of technical and managerial roles;· Experiences with SRH services and interventions including social and behavior change communication (SBCC), and other awareness-raising approaches are preferred;· Training on BEmONC, comprehensive long-acting -reversible contraceptives (LARC) and HIV health services and STIs would have added advantages.· Training on Clinical HIV/ART, providing HIV/ART training for health care workers.· Proven training facilitation experience and skills, including on job and formal training.· Excellent budget, logistics, and human resource management skills.· Ability to work with a broad spectrum of people from different cultural backgrounds. · Excellent communication skills.· Flexible with the ability to cope with stressful situations and challenging conditions with limited resources.· Good report writing skills in English and should meet reporting deadlines.
