Position: Compliant and Feedback Mechanism Intern
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical:
Receive and record calls of complaints which comes through the short code keeping confidentiality
- Works closely with the Safeguarding r and MEAL department
Managing the phone calls.
- Manages the phone calls and refer for the relevant departments within a short period (like 10 minute) for the seek of urgency and immediacy.
- Keep confidentialities of each compliant
- Manage complaints with respect to basic principles of confidentiality, data protection, human rights, and mental capacity in relation to information-sharing as well as One Oxfam digital Safeguarding policy
Contributing to developing Oxfam program qualities
- Share feedbacks of the community which comes through the phone for relevant department that will support program departments to act accordingly
- Ensure program qualities by providing well recorded community feedbacks that will be input for future program development on safe programing matrix as well as inputs for advocacy and policy influencing
- improve Oxfam’s accountability.
- create trust between Oxfam and its stakeholders and fulfil Oxfam’s responsibilities toward project participants, donors, the NGO sector, and society at large
- constitute an early warning mechanism to uncover hidden patterns
- give a voice to communities Oxfam serves
- protect Oxfam’s reputation
- save money by detecting gaps in programming and misappropriation of inefficient systems

Experience, Knowledge & Competencies:
Essential:
- Degree/diploma on communication; social science or another relevant field which can bring value to this role.
- Strong ability to communicate clearly and impactfully with a range of program participants; stakeholders including Oxfam staffs.
- Currently Oxfam works in different regions of Ethiopia namely Gambella; Somali; Amhara; Afar and Tigray.
- So we are looking a candidates who have writing, speaking, reading, and editing skills of more than two regional languages to make easy and accessible our reporting systems for the community we are working in. Basics in Amharic and English language and a minimum of two regional language skill is mandatory. Skills with more than three regional languages will be an advantage for applicant.
- Not mentioning types and level of language skills on the cover letter makes the applicant disqualified from the recruitment process
- Proven ability to keep confidentiality of reported cases
- Good knowledge of culture of the community that Oxfam working in.
