Job description:

Handling Daily operation with customer and subcontractor .

Owner of area’s KPIs/SLA, Security, OSP, Refueling, Preventive& Corrective Maintenance, of Active and passive Elements

Responsible to Ensure site’s( Access/ osp /DC) Visit ( PM, CM & Planned activities) are done according the plan.

Responsible to Monitoring, follow up, and manage Regional Subcontractor’s maintenance team output per each team,

Responsible to ensure Subcontractor fully equipped and qualified.

Responsible to Achieve SLA/KPIs/MTTR of All WOs including Trouble tickets, and ensure its quality level meet Huawei standard.  

Subcontractor’s team.   

Handling the monthly service acceptance with subcontractor and customer

Handling  , Managing and  leading Subcontractor’s professionally

Ensure Subcontractor Resources, HR, Tools, cars, EHS are available according the agreement

Responsible to ensure   batteries test are done professional for RAN and DC sites, 

Responsible to work with Elector mechanical, OSP,  Passive, Retention, and Active Manager to ensure network elements such as Battery, solar Cell (PV), and Distribution panel,…etc are maintained efficiency. 

Responsible to ensure all external alarms are connected and working professionally and are tested during site visit.

Responsible to ensure  spare part and consumables dimension and ensure its availability. 

Follow and report low efficient FME, and how can be utilise to enhance his efficiency.

Responsible to ensure subcontractor’s team members following Access process of customer sites.

Business Skills

Contact customer on daily basis with professional way to handle  network and finalise the Passive part monthly acceptance. 

Monthly Evaluate Subcontractor Maintenance Teams , and its Team members.

Prepare Dashboard report on Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly basis to be reported internally and externally to customer showing Planning activities KPIs, improvement plan, and challenges and how overcome it of Region

Education and Major requirements:

Electric and Power Engineering Bachelor Degree.

Major in Electric science, electronic, communication or relative areas.

Project Experience:

More than 5 years of working experience at telecom networking, with experience in handling Passive and Infrastructure elements of telecom network , with strong  leader and Managerial capability.

Prefer to be Familiar with Huawei Managing service Process

Language Skill:

English, Amharic

BO-IMS Engineer

Responsibility Description*

The BO-IMS Engineer involves in the delivery of 8*5 maintenance service for the infrastructure of Mobile Money solution to maintain its availability, performance, and thresholds. The engineer will be responsible for executing day to day operation for all service in scope and also be available for On-call support in case there are any Critical / Major alarms that may arise.

Routine Responsibilities: (be responsible for at least one of the following domains)

1. DB Domain

• Preform daily health check for all operators DB and investigate the problems found in checking.

• Preform the periodically database backup by NBU and investigate relevant problems. 

• Perform the DB request or changes requested by customers complied the O&M process;

• Implementation of different audits for all operators DB.

• Optimization of different operational tasks 

• Provide adhoc and temporary support to different operator as SME.

• Responsible for escalation of databases critical alarms and problems

• Escalate the trouble ticket to Third Line when region cannot solve it, and monitor it until solved

• Analysis the lack of existing DB architecture or design.

• Capable to propose the new improvement solution.

2. System Admin (OS-Storage-Backup) Domain

• Preform daily health check for all operation system and investigate the problems found in checking.

• Preform the periodically patching and upgrades 

• Preform the periodically operation system backup by NBU and investigate relevant problems. 

• Perform the operation system request or changes requested by customers complied the O&M process;

• Implementation of different audits for all operators UNIX/Linux based solutions.

• Optimization of different operational tasks 

• Provide adhoc and temporary support to different operator as SME.

• Responsible for escalation of the UNIX/Linux critical alarms and problems

• Analysis the lack of existing the UNIX/Linux architecture or design.

• Capable to propose the new improvement solution.

3. Network Domain

•          Routinely check and maintain network devices to ensure normal and stable running of network devices.

•          Configure network data or control policies based on customer and service requirements.

•          Periodically update the network topology and maintain ports information, and back up NE configuration information.

• Preferable to familiar with all Unix flavors

• Contains required certifications

• Good knowledge of shell scripting

• Excellent working knowledge of SUSE LINUX.

• Awareness of OS hardening security 

• Good knowledge in network, Storage, Database & Application principles  

• Good ITIL Knowledge

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
