Sales Executive

  • Carefully plans Sales Calls into defined objectives.
  • Maintains a detailed knowledge of hotel facilities, features and services.
  • Conducts extensive competitor researches and maintains excellent Product Knowledge of the hotel.
  • Systematically and efficiently calls on allocated Accounts within assigned sector and reports findings and opportunities to the Sales Manager/ Director of Sales.
  • Follows up sales leads to identify prospect.
  • Ensures a high level of exposure for hotel through direct sales solicitation of telephone contact and written communications.
  • Professionally conducts routine telemarketing activities to identify new accounts.
  • Entertains and conducts hotel inspections to clients whenever required.
  • Establishes and maintains strong relationship with the established clientele and constantly explores into new business opportunities.
  • Achieves the monthly and annual personal target and the segment target room night production and room revenue.
  • Liaises and works closely with the related operation departments ensuring guests requests and expectation are being met.
  • Prepares and ensures all Events Orders are distributed to concerned department on a timely manner.
  • Assists the Sales Managers to follow up on all matters in the absence of the Sales Manager.

Job Requirements

  • Relevant Degree in Sales & Marketing Management/Hospitality/Tourism management or related field.
  • Minimum 2/4 years work experience in Sales Executive/Coordinator or related positions.
  • Good customer service, communications and interpersonal skills are a must.

Event Sales Executive

Job Description

  • To assist, coordinate and execute all event acquisition activities of Hyatt Regency Addis Ababa.  To develop, implement, maximize, monitor and evaluate objectives, strategies and activities of the Rooms & Catering Department, so as to secure new and repeat business for the hotel, thereby achieving and exceeding forecasted revenue figures.
  • To create event proposals which fit guest’s requirements and presenting proposals by deadline.
  • Maintaining a working relationship with vendors and venues.
  • Planning event aspects, such as venue, seating, dining, and guest list.
  • Delegating event planning tasks to other staff members where necessary.
  • Demonstrating strong knowledge of venues and vendor offerings and taking guests on tours of venue possibilities.
  • Coordinating event entertainment, including music, performers, and guest speakers.
  • Managing and overseeing events on the day of, including problem-solving, welcoming guests, directing event set-up, communicating with staff, and organizing vendors.
  • To obtain and maintain an awareness of community, business, political and social factors which may affect the Hotel’s financial objectives.
  • To ensure a high level of exposure for the hotel through direct sales solicitation, telephone contact and written communication.
  • To explore new markets and potential accounts for follow up by the Rooms & Catering Team.
  • To review Event files to ensure correct booking procedures, including group room and meeting program history, catering set up and themes, contractual agreements, etc.
